Good News Church
Good News Church is multi-ethnic congregation in the heart of Omaha with over 50 nations represented. I was the Communications Director at Good News from 2010-2019 and led a complete rebranding effort as well and created and maintained multiple campaigns, brands, and user experiences to communicate the good news to this diverse audience.
I oversaw the rebrand of “Glad Tidings” to “Good News.” This was an evolution, since “glad tidings” is really just an old english way to say “good news.” The church wanted to modernize to reach audiences that wouldn’t know the old phrase. However, with a fresh vision for multiplication and taking the gospel outside the walls of the church, this gave the visual identity an an opportunity to say something new visually as well. The old logo had been a cross surrounded by a mosaic of colors representing the nations surrounding the cross. With this logo evolution, the pieces representing the nations are not only surrounding but reaching out from the cross, representing the church reaching its community for Christ.
